The best method to use depends upon the size and type of documents you are binding. Our team of trained printing personnel will be able to offer you the appropriate binding method(s) depending on your print demands.

Perfect Bind

Perfect Bound or Binding

A method of binding where a flexible adhesive attaches a paper cover to the spine of the assembled signatures. The adhesive keeps its strength and resiliency for a long period of time.

This method of binding lends itself to an aesthetically neat and appealing overall appearance.

Paperback novels are perfect bound. It is also excellent for other books, corporate reports, manuals, marketing catalogues, and annual reports.

Perfect Binding can hold up to 350 sheets without thread stitching. Should there be more than 350 sheets; manual thread stitching would have to be done to secure sheets.

Perfect binding requires a thicker cover of (240gsm) as the book is typically thicker. Any cover of a lesser weight would be too flimsy to support the weight of the book. Choose from 8 attractive colours.

Plastic Ring/Comb Bind

Plastic comb binding is one of the most popular forms of binding which will provide a book-like finish with pages that are securely locked in place.

Another side – binding process, using a comb binder cuts a pattern of rectangular holes through the collated documents a plastic comb is then uncoiled, the pages inserted, and the comb recoiled to bind documents.

Documents bound in this method lie flat.

Our plastic binding combs can accommodate various thickness can hold up to a maximum of 400 sheets

Wire O/ Spiral Binding

This is similar to Plastic Ring/Comb Binding. This is a book binding technique that winds a circular double-wire strip through prepunched holes along the binding edge of the page.

In designing a book, allowance must be made in the gutter (inner margin) of the book for the punched holes.

It creates a contemporary, professional image In addition; pages are bound so securely that they should not fall out easily.

Many projects – including cookbooks, software manuals and calendars – benefit from Wire-O’s ability to lay flat as a board on either a table top or wall.

Wire-O-bound books can also fold 360 degrees to allow single-hand use.

Fastener Bind

A familiar method of binding. This is a no fuss binding method where completed print documents are hole punched and secured together in a A4 sized Paper File with a fastener bind or attached with a back and front cover and bound with a fastener bind.

Saddle Stitch

Saddle stitching is one of the most widely used binding technique.

Folded signatures are placed over a “saddle” and staples are forced through the backbone or spine of the booklet. As such, it is a reliable type of binding as if done properly, will keep the pages secured nicely.

In addition, it is very much cost saving.

Saddle stitch binding is excellent for magazines, booklets, brochures, newsletters, pamphlets, direct mailers and catalogs.

Saddle stitched bound materials lie flat, for easing reading.

This is recommended for booklets under 25 sheets.
